Bootlegger + Blender: Mods, Rockers, Punks on show

If you get along to the Bootlegger Bar you can also check out the amazing photos of Janette Beckman who documented the Mod, Rockers, Teds, and Punk scenes in London from the 70s to early 80s. The Face and Melody Maker published her images as she photographed many of the emerging bands of the day such as mod icons The Specials, punks like the Sex Pistols and Siouxsie Sioux, and many of the post-punk new-wave stars.

If you like what you see you might want to get yourself a copy of Janette Beckman's book Made in the UK: the music of attitude, 1977-1982 (PowerHouse Books, 2005) or even better purchase a print from Blender Gallery (Sydney).
